2024 JSWAG Excellence Awardee
Mr. Shane Lege
Mr. Lege, JSWAG Army Executive Chair, constantly demonstrated leadership by rebuilding the internal process and outward facing structure of the Joint Services Wiring Action Group. In 2020, the pandemic derailed the rapidly growing reach and impact JSWAG was starting to have on the wiring community, following the largest attendance for a JSWAG meeting in 2019. In 2024, Mr. Lege helped lead the efforts to revitalize JSWAG by working with the Executive Steering Committee to get the JSWAG Charter signed by all five services and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Materiel Readiness and partnering with the DOD Maintenance Symposium to hold the first JSWAG Conference since 2019. His efforts displayed a deep technical competence and understanding for the forethought of success for JSWAG from all levels: users, maintainers, and engineers. Mr. Lege's vision and exceptional leadership, provided JSWAG with newly found energy and exemplified all the characteristics of one so richly deserving of this award.
